Project Jelly Roll

K&A Quilt Studio's Sew a Jelly Roll Day is September 16th.

National Sew A Jelly Roll day was started a few years back to encourage collectors to tear open a Moda Jelly Roll and make something for themselves, as a gift or for charity!  It can be a quilt or a tote bag, a pillowcase or something to wear, it doesn't matter so long as we seize the day and celebrate the joy of being a maker.  While the "official" day this year is September 17th, we are celebrating a bit early.  (Since many of you will be joining us for the Kimberbell Embroidery Club on the 17th).

Join us for a fun, all day sew in our classroom as we make all things strippy.  Unfinished strip project, a new quilt you have been meaning to sew up, or maybe you have a pretty roll that you just can't seem to figure out what to do with?  This day is for you!  We will have plenty of free patterns on hand for you to choose from to get you started and of course, if you just don't have enough... Jelly Rolls too!

Event time is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Lunch will be served as well as fun games and fabulous discounts on all things round.  We will have lots of backgrounds to complement most any strip set you can bring so not to worry that you won't be prepared for any pattern.  Admission only $20!

The countdown is on... September 16th is just "round" the corner!
