Applique using decorative stitches

Want to make better use of the decorative stitches on your sewing machine? Why not use them for finishing the edges of raw applique? In this hands-on class, you’ll be using a variety of provided shapes to create a fabulous original (simple or complex – you decide) cushion cover with fusible applique. We’ll use decorative stitches to cover the raw edges, and we’re going to finish off the cushion with a hidden zipper in the back. Want to get even more creative? Make a pieced background for the applique using scraps.
