Beginning Quilting

Pre-requisite for all other quilting classes if you have never quilted before.
This beginning quilting program is designed to take you from your first cut to your last stitch and enjoy the process each step of the way.  You will learn everything about making a quilt including choosing the best quilting tools and fabrics, rotary cutting with accuracy, block assembly, attaching your borders, quilting the quilt on your machine and binding.  You will finish this 8-week course with a complete and finished quilt -- made by you!  Basic sewing knowledge is required and there is sewing homework between classes.  Supply list and instruction manual will be handed out during the first class.
*Instruction manual purchase required at time of sign up:  $15.00.  Fabric for quilt must be purchased at K&A Quilt Studio at the end of the 1st class.

Skill Level: Beginner

Instructor: Linda Smith
Instructor Bio: Linda has been sewing for over 45 years. She made many of her own clothes when she was in high school and after marriage and two children, she sewed most of their clothes as well. Linda started quilting in 1983 and has been quilting ever since. She especially enjoys teaching new quilters and seeing their reactions when their projects are finished. Since moving to London she has been a member of three different quilt guilds. She is currently past president of one guild and president of another.
Total class fee of $125 includes all 8 sessions and the book "Beginning Quilting -- Student Handbook".
